Two years later after the Houston robbery at the Original Carrabba on Kirby Street

Over 2 years ago, we dined at the original Carrabba's on Kirby Street in Houston, Texas. It was the biggest mistake ever since robbers decided to break out of window of my car and wipe us out. They took an Apple laptop, jewelry, clothes, electronics, purses, U.S. Passport, and much more. The total value of these stolen items totaled $15,000.

On Tax Day in 2012, we never expected to lose everything we owned. Our relocation went from bad to extremely worse. Carrabba's eventually swept this first-time robbery under the rug. Their private security office who also worked for the Houston Police Department mentioned that Carrabba's ownership and he would review the robbery footage.

Guess what happened? This surveillance footage must have been destroyed to protect the identity of the thieves. We never heard anything more about this robbery again. The Houston Police Department never sent a letterhead request to get information from a particular company who had the username of an individual using one of the stolen electronic devices. Better yet, Carrabba's moved past this robbery and had the nerve to compare it to an employee losing their gym bag after a break-in.

I regret that I didn't use this Carrabba's gift card in Denver, Colorado. If we never stopped in the Houston wastelands, there is a strong possibility we would still have possession of our valuable belongings. There would be no need to replace the broken driver door window. Moreover, I wouldn't need to drive without sleeping from Houston, Texas to Central Florida. Because we didn't have a driver window, it was unsafe to pull over anywhere to sleep.

This robbery at the original Carrabba's-owned parking facility should have never taken place. We felt there was something wrong with this location and should've went with our instincts. I never replaced my U.S. Passport and Social Security Card. It took me nearly 8 months to replace my Apple laptop, which my mother gave me as a birthday and Christmas gift.

On April 16, 2014, we reflected back two years ago where some unknown thieves robbed us blind while we dined inside a Carrabba's Italian Grill restaurant in the late afternoon. You would never think that a place with security (were missing for a few hours on this day), state-of-the-art surveillance system and the time of the day (4-5pm in Spring) could translate into a major loss.

On April 16, 2012, we stopped at the original Carrabba's Italian Grill restaurant located on Kirby Street in Houston, Texas. While we dined in this restaurant, thieves broke out the driver window and took all of our belongings valued at $15,000. At one point in the restaurant, the server made a mistake with closing out the bill. We stayed in this restaurant much longer than expected.

By 5pm - with daylight still present - we found a security guard assessing the scene. We noticed the window broken and all of our possessions were gone. This security guard began to harass me, requesting me to prove that I wasn't some Houston resident. He pressured me to documents that could prove my identify. Who talks to a couple this way after they lost everything?

Apparently, the Houston Police Department is unreliable with following-up on this theft case. After numerous calls, the assigned officer on our cased never investigated the crime and the theft case went cold. Two years ago, we moved on from this first degree grand theft. It is highly possible the same robbers continue to ruin lives. Our best advice is to avoid Houston, Texas. It is the slum of the South.

According to media outlets, Houston robbers usually break car windows often. If you're moving and decide to enter Houston, Texas, make sure you maintain your renter's and/or homeowner's insurance policy as well as glass protection under your auto insurance policy. Houston is a crime ridden city that may change your perspective. Don't allow this dump of a city to make you neurotic. Never let your guard down in Houston.

Houston is a dead zone

During the morning the new Iphone 5C was released, a group of thieves arrived on scene to rob two men standing in line to get this new iPhone. Interestingly, 1 year 6 months later after our robbery experience, Houston continues to lead by example with maintaining their low-life dump status. People should avoid this disaster zone at all cost. Houston breeds crime and the police in this city are partly responsible for this recurring episode.

As I mentioned on this website many times, we got robbed in Houston on our way to Florida. We never intended to stop in Houston, but by chance we made the mistake to use a gift card we should have saved until reaching Florida. 

At around 4:30-5:30pm during April 16, 2012, our car window got broken out in front of the original Carrabba's Italian restaurant located on 3115 Kirby Drive. While being filmed on Carrabba's so-called state-of-the-art surveillance system, the robbers helped themselves to $10,000+ worth of personal possessions. They took my U.S. Passport, Social Security card, Apple computer, digital cameras, purses, luggage, gold jewelry and much more. 

This Houston Italian restaurant and the Houston Police turned their back on this crime. They never reviewed the film footage, never followed-up with us, and allowed one of the thieves to continue using a stolen device where another company requested them to submit a legal document to gain access to this criminal's legal information. 

Should we blame crime in Houston on thieves? Or can we point the finger at incompetent police and security guards who are too lazy to lift a finger? This robbery was obviously staged. It is likely that security was in on this crime, as several security professionals suggested. 

It was broad daylight. Surveillance cameras filmed this crime. Houston Police never followed-up with this case. The restaurant overlooked this crime on their property. Good thing this restaurant continues to make money from their valet parking that should function as traditional parking. 

Carrabba's continues to impress us all with leading a movement to lower server salary. This decision in Florida also affected people I know because their hourly pay will be reduced in half. Carrabba's never called back to discuss the robbers on their surveillance footage. They swept this crime under the rug.  

Take extra precaution to protect yourself when dining at the Original Carrabba's Italian Grill at 3115 Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas. If we got robbed in the early afternoon, there is a chance you can, too. If you have out-of-state license plates, avoid this area. This restaurant has no empathy for their patrons, as shown in their lack of action to confront this crime. What happens next time? It can be worse. 

Carrabba's claimed this robbery was the first on their property. The general manager attempted to compare this crime to another employee who lost their gym bag after a car break-in. There is a big difference in these two crimes, especially the amount of personal possessions stolen and the sensitive documents taken. Why would these robber's take insurance information and registration documents? Their main intent was to connect these documents to a Houston home. 

Don't visit Houston. The Iphone cause reminds me that Houston is a wasteland. Crime is out of control in this disaster city. I will never stop in Houston ever again. If I drive through Houston in the future, I will get gas a few hours before and far after this city. 

Houston Police could have done more to address this robbery. I gave them excellent information to locate another individual using a device they deregistered and then re-registered in their name. I suppose Houston police are clueless. It took some time to heal from this robbery. I lost a lot of professional writing samples, stories, academic work spanning undergraduate and graduate school and much more. 

The Houston robbery at the original Carrabba's Italian Grill is a big learning lesson. If you are brave enough to dine at this restaurant, spend the extra money using the valet service. You may avoid our fate. It is apparent that spending thousands on video equipment and thousands on security per month are wasted at this location. To this day, the Carrabba's corporate never called back nor did the Houston Police. It is a forgotten case that got thrown away. 

I thank God this event occurred. Why? It will save others from getting robbed and possibly injured and or killed. What would you do if you saw people stealing your possessions? Most people would confront these criminals and this may end up becoming a crime scene. 

If robbers are brave enough to spend time breaking out a window and rummaging inside a car to steal everything in sight, there is nothing that would stop them if a person told them to stop. Never visit Houston on a road trip or a relocation to another state because you are a prime target. According to the security guard that night, there are a network of criminals that hit up exclusive areas to rob cars. It doesn't matter if it is day or night, any person can experience the wrath of these pathetic losers.

Be safe. If you can, do not visit Houston. If you must visit Houston, be extra cautious of your surroundings. As these two customers discovered, Houston criminals are ready to steal your possessions. They won't hesitate to use your credit cards and take your cash. Why work for a living when stealing is lucrative?

Our best advice is to retain your renter's and homeowner's insurance while on your move. If you send an e-mail to cancel by accident, the insurance company will cancel your policy prematurely. This disaster zone breeds an infectious population of criminals that are on a prowl to steal valuables to resell and even hurt you to do this. Houston, Texas is a dump that deserves no respect. 

Damaged car door

Last week, I discovered the thieves who robbed us at the Original Carrabba's in Houston, Texas on April 15, 2012, damaged the door. They broke the driver door glass. In the process of stealing our valuables, the criminals damaged the driver door.

The door is bent. It gets stuck easily. The new window is unlike the previous because it has no tint to shield out the sun light. Today is exactly 4 months since we got robbed. I've been struggling terribly bad. Of course, Houston police and Carrabba's could care less about the grand theft auto crime against us.

Houston residents and outside travelers must be warned that Houston is unsafe. I recently talked to a Texas resident who apologized to me. He was ashamed that Houston created this insurmountable problem. No Texan wants outside travelers to get vandalized and robbed.

Unfortunately, the Houston thieves premeditated this crime. They had to have help because no random group can steal that many suitcases, bags, and other items in such short time. Carrabba's claims their security and surveillance system are top notch. However, we never heard any news of surveillance footage showing the thieves break out a window and scavenge in the vehicle to take our possessions.

These thieves are smarter than we think They somehow have connections. My theory is that another person alerted them of our California plates. As soon as we dined inside the restaurant, the thieves parked their vehicle next to our car. They broke out the window. It was no professional job because glass spread throughout the interior. I even got cut a few times while driving to our final destination.

The thieves took the registration, insurance, two large pieces of luggage, one large bag, a leather bag, and a messenger bag. Congratulations thieves! You hit the jackpot with $10,000 worth of possessions and thousands of dollars in intellectual property.

Now you can publish the quote book that took me three years to write. My movie scripts, movie taglines, writing samples, graduate thesis, and 16 years worth of academic work are stored on the Apple laptop. Great heist job! You don't need education to destroy a life. It just takes soulless animals to steal from travelers relocating from the West coast to the East Coast. Good timing to rob a car to steal everything we own.

Karma will repay the thieves. I believe in bad karma. The thieves robbed us. They vandalized the car. I had to pay $250 to repair the window. We missed our job interviews, which has caused us to suffer. I'm unemployed and broke. Carrabba's and the Houston police never had any decency to solve the case.

In my opinion, never visit Houston ever. The Texas city is a disaster zone. Evil will find the thieves to repay their bad deeds. The Possession movie is nothing compared to what these thieves stand to face. You can keep our possessions and my hard work. It is cursed now. In time, I will recover from this unfortunate event.

The damaged door is a reminder of the first degree grand theft. These thieves planned this robbery. They probably had inside help to avoid outside interference. Carrabba's Italian Grill's security were on their extended break while thieves robbed the car in daylight hours.

Meanwhile, Carrabba's worthless video surveillance system filmed the thieves in action. Did the restaurant review the surveillance footage? The restaurant officer told us he was excited to review the footage the next morning. Houston police and Carrabba's are not interested in fighting crime.

I believed Carrabba's would cooperate; however, the Italian grill swept the crime under their rug. Based on details in this theft case, the original Carrabba's seem to condone crime on their property. Nobody heard the thieves break the window into a thousand pieces. They don't hire security for three hours during the afternoon hours. They never informed us of the criminals on their surveillance footage.

After 4 months, Carrabba's never contacted us once to discuss the matter. I called them the day after, and then 6 weeks later. Houston police are dragging their feet. They never took fingerprints. Never returned any of my calls, even when I provided them with critical evidence to pinpoint one of the stolen items. Houston police were supposed to request the information on letterhead. Nevertheless, the Houston police disregarded the evidence to resolve the crime. They never called any pawn shops to report the stolen items.

The "No Action" clock is ticking away. It has been 4 months since we got robbed while relocating to the East Coast. We stopped to have a late lunch at the wrong time. Carrabba's didn't have their security hired on. They never informed us of the surveillance footage of the thieves robbing us. Their police security never took fingerprints. Did the Houston apparitions rob us? Nobody seems to know anything about this crime.

I have experienced two crimes committed against me. Both times, the Northern California police department solved the cases. Houston police and the restaurant make too many excuses. I don't want to hear that Americans get robbed on every corner.

Carrabba's Town & Country insurance informed that restaurant customers are not entitled to security. The female representative also indicated that we can get robbed on every corner in America. She shared that another motorist hit her car. These so-called businesses defer the blame to avoid accountability.

When a motorist is pulled over for speeding, most drivers complain that others were speeding ahead of them. Police officers refuse to listen to gripes and complaints. It is unfair the original Carrabba's, the Houston police, and Town & Country insurance used their personal experiences with crime and identified the American crime rate as an excuse to ignore the theft. Any group of criminals breaking out a window on camera and stealing personal possessions and documents are obviously dangerous, violent thieves.

Would you want to encounter these thugs stealing your personal items? How would you react? I assure you this is an extremely dangerous crime. You must never intervene to stop criminals in action. Houston police are not interested in pursuing theft cases that involve $10,000+ worth of property. These exact criminals are probably stealing and assaulting travelers and residents.

In my opinion, Houston police get an "F" grade for effort. Carrabba's gets an "F" grade for showing no compassion. Town & Country insurance get an "I" for making up excuses, which the female representative referred to the American crime rate as the primary problem and noted that customers are not entitled to security. She implied that guests who decide to dine at the original Carrabba's Italian Grill must protect their personal safety rather than depend on security to protect them.

Furthermore, she mentioned that Carrabba's Italian Grill is not required to keep their patrons safe. She adds that any person can get robbed on any street corner in America. The Carrabba's Italian Grill management also believe that people get robbed all across America. They share small petty crimes against them to make you accept a major theft. The Houston police operate in the same manner, choosing to use the "this happened to me too" to ease the pain. Houston makes too many excuses to hide their high crime rate.

Houston is a city that lacks integrity. I can honestly say that no newspaper or media outlet picked up this story. I contacted the Houston media, but never heard anything back. They probably want to avoid bad publicity that can affect their tourism. Travelers and residents deserve to know the truth. The real truth is that you stand to get robbed in rich areas.

According to the police officer taking the report and Carrabba's manager, criminal networks are scoping out the rich areas. The original Carrabba's on Kirby Street is located in a rich Houston area. Don't ever think that you will be safe in rich areas. Criminal networks target rich areas to steal your valuable possessions. Travelers with out-of-state license plates must avoid stopping to dine at Houston restaurants. It only takes a few minutes to lose everything you own. Be smart and avoid the nightmare.

Carrbba's converted their traditional parking lot into valet. We decided to park in their new parking structure located in plain view of the restaurant. Two video surveillance cameras filmed the thieves break the window to steal our valuable possessions.

Houston police and Carrabba's ignored the crime. We lost so many valuable possessions and documents. The restaurant manager told me that Houston police are not interested in taking crime reports on theft cases. While living in San Jose, the San Jose and Santa Clara police department pursued criminal cases quickly.

The quicker detectives engage into a crime, the faster they can bust a criminal network. I believed that losing valuable items and documents would motivate the Houston police to apprehend the criminals. However, the theft case went cold long ago. Stay alert. Be careful. Pay attention to your surroundings. Avoid rich areas. Don't dine in restaurants while traveling unless your personal possessions are stored inside your hotel room.

Never think that you can't get robbed in an hour. It took us one hour to lose everything. We didn't have one article of clothing remaining to comfortably make the last 1000 miles trip. Houston, as a whole, uses that "tough luck" attitude. Why would they care about a crime against another person?

Travelers are interested in safety. They should know what places to avoid on their travels. If travelers choose to take the risk, then they need to be alert to avoid a negative outcome. Don't depend on security and the police department to help you. Houston is a disaster of a city that I never intend to visit again.

The damaged car door is a reminder that inadequate security, an overrated surveillance system, and lack of compassion can ruin a life. Customers deserve better than this treatment. Why pay high entree prices?  The restaurant converted their traditional parking into valet to make a profit. They don't pay to have their security on during a 3-hour gap in the afternoon.

The original Carrabba's increased our risk. While attending college, I worked at many restaurants over a decade. I never heard of any patron or employee having their window broken out and losing all of their possessions. I served many travelers. It is obvious that poor security is responsible for this crime. We stayed two nights in downtown San Antonio. On both nights, the hotels provided good security to deter crime. If the crime took place while security were on, then it would be an unfortunate case.

However, a Houston crime occurred during a time when security were not hired on. According to the restaurant manager, the security are hired on mainly to protect the employees. Surveillance footage is not reviewed to identify the criminals.

According to the restaurant security officer, Carrabba's spends thousands of dollars on top security per week. They have high quality surveillance cameras. What went wrong? Criminals can hang around to break windows? They can take their time to rob you? The security breakdown is leaving a 3-hour gap open. I'm not confident the restaurant reviewed the surveillance footage of the criminals in action? Who is protecting who?

Remember that rich areas are target areas. Criminals have the luxury to commit crimes in Houston. Four months later, the Houston police never called to discuss the theft case. We never received a callback. I contacted them the first two months to provide information. I last talked with Carrabba's corporate on April 17, 2012. The restaurant is more interested in overcharging guests on entrees and wine rather than care about vandalism and theft cases on their property. I will never visit Houston again. I have no respect for Carrabba's.

     





    

         

Interesting assessment at a Florida Mall

It has been over two months since our quick hour stop at the original Carrabba's Italian Grill in Houston, Texas resulted in us getting robbed. We gathered valuable information to aid the Houston police. They refuse to engage in the robbery case to locate the criminals. The Carrabba's general manager stated to me a day after the robbery that we will cooperate to retrieve your personal belongings.

Two months later, the general manager now believes our personal possessions and intellectual property are long gone. We knew our personal belongings and intellectual property were unrecoverable the moment Carrabba's security indicated Carrabba's does not hire them on for 3-hours each day in the afternoon. 

We are so lucky to have dined in a restaurant for the first time during the daytime. We never visited Houston in the past, previously avoiding the city 7 years ago while making the same exact road trip. According to Carrabba's and their security officer, we are the first to have gotten robbed in their new parking structure.   

The Houston Police have refused to engage in the grand theft. They have access to the video surveillance. It seemed the security officer taking the police report that April 16, 2012 afternoon would review the video surveillance along with Carrabba's Direct of Operation. Two months later, the Houston police department and the Original Caraabba's failed miserable. 

Both of these outfits lack professionalism and empathy. They overuse "we're sorry this happened to you" and "people get robbed on every street corner in America" too much instead of doing something to pursue these criminals who ruined us. We have nothing left. Many valuable possessions, important documents, and intellectual property are gone. 

Houston police ignored following-up with a lead. We informed them to take simple steps to acquire sensitive information from another entity. Over the past few months, we experienced nothing but hardship due to this robbery. Houston police and Carrabba's are irresponsible. Carrabba's 3-hour security-less window increased the risk. 

Today, we watched Florida mall security patrol the parking lot. Many cars have luggage and personal belongings inside their vehicle. A few of these vehicles were parked more than 2-hours with no incident.I refuse to believe that anyone can get robbed. The truth is that we have never gotten robbed in the most dangerous places. Carrabba's and the Houston police deserve no respect in this robbery case. 

In my opinion, Carrabba's needs to release the surveillance video. If the restaurant and police continue to disregard the evidence, they are allowing criminals to get away with a serious crime. Don't fall for poor treatment. We recommend avoiding Houston, Texas. It only takes 1-hour to ruin your life. 

At 3115 Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas, robbers broke out our drive window in broad daylight. They took luggage and bags with many of our valuables. We were relocating to Florida. This robbery is our reward for dining in Carrabba's Italian Grill for the first time. Whereas Carrabba staff members tried to help the best they could that night, the truth is their policies increased the risk. In result, we got robbed. 

How would travelers react to have their vehicle robbed while they dine inside a restaurant with security taking an extended 3-hour break? There is no excuse to this event. We are not talking about a minor incident. The Florida mall example, the hotels we stayed at while traveling across the country, and malls we shopped at had good security. Most;y all places we visited in the past 20 years have good security. 

We're not claiming Carrabba's Italian Grill as an entity is dangerous to visit. We're suggesting that this original Carrabba's location at 3115 Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas is the location we got robbed on a Monday afternoon while their security is on an extended 3-hour break daily. In our opinion, the restaurant wants to save money with keeping a 3-hour window open and wants to make money with converting the traditional parking lot into valet parking. 

Carrabba's points the blame at the American crime rate rather than accept their mistake. We got robbed there. We didn't get robbed at Olive Garden, Chevy's and any other restaurant. No security was around. The unprofessional robbers broke out the window. Glass projected in the back seat, on the floor, in the middle console and pretty all through the interior. I had to pay $250 to repair the window out of my own pocket. 

Does it makes any sense for robbers to break out a window, which we might add is probably extremely loud? Moreover, the surveillance video is recording them robbing the car. To make matters worse, we never hear from Carrabba's ever again after we discussed the event with them. According to the restaurant, the Houston police don't deal with car theft and robberies; they tell you to call the police station to make a report instead. 

What kind of police depart is Houston, Texas operating? They get a perfect lead. All they have to do is request the information by letterhead. However, their lack of professionalism in requesting information from another entity and failing to reviewing video surveillance tape prove this city is condoning crime. Is this evidence on the tape that connects the criminals to another?

In San Jose, a past identity theft case resulted in the San Clara and San Jose police apprehending the thief. It only took two weeks to find this person based on video surveillance. In this Houston case, the restaurant has a video tape in this possession with the robbers. Who knows if their vehicle and license plate number are in the video surveillance? If that video tape goes missing, then it's obvious the intent is to disclose the truth. 

It is frustrating to think that Carrabba's Italian Grill's corporate office is ignoring this matter. Their restaurant is trying to sweep the April 16, 2012 robbery under their rug. Where is the respect? Sorry doesn't cut it. Are they sorry we drove across five states, unable to sleep, park for more than a few minutes, our safety at stake, rain and fog pouring in the car, and that we were without our possessions - including clothes? Forget sorry. 

Carrabba's and their security claim this is the first time anyone has gotten robbed in their new structure. They allowed us to leave that afternoon, knowing we had to drive home to Central Florida. What kind of business treats people this way? Their actions before and after the robbery demonstrate a lack of compassion. They keep recycling the American crime rate as an excuse to not take accountability for the robbery. 

As a person who has worked as a server in popular restaurants while attending college, I have never seen or heard of any event such as our experience. Carrabba's is ignoring the crime. In my opinion, the Houston police are condoning crime with refusing to engage into the matter. They have a hard time locating case numbers rather than investigate a serious crime. 

A U.S. Passport, Social Security card, tax forms for three people, $10,000 worth of personal possessions, and $50-100K of intellectual property on the computer and in a original book are missing. This is the first time I've experienced adverse treatment connected to a restaurant and the police station. 

All travelers should be very careful driving through Houston, Texas. According to the restaurant, security and the Houston Police department, robbers are hitting up rich areas. If you so happen to get robbed, don't expect anyone to show compassion for your loss. Carrabba's insurance company Town & Country shift blame, avoid responsibility and refuse to accept claims. 

Never go into Houston, Texas unless you have personal property insurance. This city is ranked as one of the most high crime cities in America. Whereas San Antonio ranks high in crime, the city actually provides adequate security to keep patrons safe. In Houston, the original Carrabba's, Houston police, restaurant security, and Town & Country insurance company turn away from a criminal incident (based on actual evidence, their statements made on the phone, in-person, and through suggesting crime is common across America). One Houston police officer stated that a 5-year-old can break into a car. 

We can see a 5-year-old stealing possessions weighing twice his weight. One suitcase weighed 50 pounds. The car windows are tinted. It is tough to unload the suitcases and bags. Furthermore, anyone can break a window in broad daylight while filmed on camera robbing private property. Better yet, the restaurant and police refuse to deal with the crime. We suppose a 5-year-old can rob a car under these circumstances. 

If you're traveling into Houston, keep sensitive documents with you. The security officer interrogated me as if I were a criminal. He assigned a name and a Houston address to me. I told him I have no idea what he is taking about. He continued to demand information to prove ownership of the vehicle. However, the robbers helped themselves to the registration and car insurance documents as well. 

Maybe the security officer who works for Carrabba's and the Houston police department is frustrated he has to deal with the police report under his watch. He claimed the area is very rich, and that nothing like this robbery has happened prior to our loss. We have no idea why this officer requested our social security numbers, which we provided at the time but should have withheld. Everything in this robbery is shady. 

Our California plates probably lured the robbers. Inadequate security gave the robbers enough time to do as they please with nobody standing in their way to stop them. The irresponsible original Carrabba's restaurant and the Houston police ignoring the crime. We called many times to provide information. Not one person from Carrabba's and or the Houston police returned any calls. 

After 5 weeks of being proactive, I decided to temporarily disconnect from the Houston police and Carrabba's. This website will remain active to inform the traveling popular to increase awareness. We would hate to see anyone suffer like us. Going on 9 weeks, nobody from Houston cares. It is obvious the Houston police have no interest in fighting crime. The Carrabba's Italian Grill restaurant blames the American crime rate on our loss. For the most part, apprehending robbers responsible in this major theft case could resolve future crimes. 

Based on our Houston travel experience, avoid dining at restaurants in any rich Houston areas. Keep your eyes open, stay alerts on your surroundings while in fast food drive-thrus and at gas stations. We never made any stops to increase our risk. It was our bad luck we continued on course to visit a restaurant with inadequate security. In the process, we got robbed. If the restaurant took proper measures, we would still own our personal belongings and probably have jobs. 

Unfortunately, we will continue to experience major hardship due to this robbery. Carrabba's will ignore the April 16, 2012 case. If Carrabba's spends thousands a week on top security, then they are doing a poor job. If any group of criminals can shatter a window in broad daylight while high-end surveillance film is rolling and security is on an extended 3-hour break, this location is obvious unsafe. 

We hear constant claims that Houston police are overly busy with major cases that theft and robberies are handled on the phone. This is irresponsible. Don't expect police to keep you safe. We highly doubt our valuable possessions will be recovered. If a miracle happens, we will renew our faith in the Houston police. Until that time arrives, Carrabba's and the Houston police get poor scores for their response to a major theft.       

Don't trust rich Houston areas: Travel tip

Rich areas are prime real estate. Robbers know to visit the rich areas to steal your possessions. When you park your vehicle in a parking lot, don't leave anything inside your vehicle. Your windows will not protect your vehicle from getting jacked. Don't trust parking in an exclusive area, because you increase your risk at getting robbed. 

Plan to drive through Houston, Texas? Be be too passive thinking you are immune to crime. It is quite possible that relocating New Orleans residents to Houston increased the crime rate. Nonetheless, Houston is a crime-ridden city with a Houston police force that are slow to engage. 

If Houston police were fighter planes in aerial combat, they would probably engage last - once the action is over.  Law enforcement officers make excuses. Houston businesses in rich areas suggest any person can get robbed at any time. do we believe that robbers break out windows in front of people? They rush to steal everything valuable in a vehicle, even your registration and insurance information. 

Houston is not a safe city to visit. Businesses and the Houston police don't take accountability to resolve crime cases. Their common excuse is that more serious crimes are in higher demand. Why would you want to visit Houston when the police department are uncaring of your loss? 

Houston is a crime-infested city. You have a greater chance at getting robbed in the most exclusive areas. Don't let your guard down thinking that security will deter crime. If you visit Houston, keep a close eye on your vehicle, keep your wallet in your front pocket, and hide your jewelry. Houston criminals will rob you blind. They could care less if they ruin your life. 

In this robbery case at the original Carrabba's new parking structure, our lives took a turn for the worst. Robbers broke the window while on video surveillance, taking everything we possibly own. Our sensitive documents are now in the hands of thieves. What will happen next? Will we have an identity theft encounter?

Don't trust rich Houston areas. Keep alert. Criminals hang out in rich areas to scope out their next heist job. If you lack the financial resources to withstand a loss, then do yourself a big favor to avoid Houston altogether. It is not worth visiting a city such as Houston, especially since the Houston  police department refuse to investigate a case with good evidence. 

The Houston police haven't followed-up with the victims yet. They never return messages and seem to react slow on the phone. Normally, you have to repeat things several times to get help. If we avoided a rich Houston area, we would be not be struggling right now. 

It is unfortunate, as we planned to visit New Orleans a few months prior to the robbery. Houston ruined our two week road trip. The loss impacted our lifestyle. We can't recover from losing possessions and intellectual property. Avoid rich Houston areas to decrease your chance at getting robbed. Robbers will break your window out in daylight hours. A business will refuse to review the video surveillance to identify the criminals. 

Karma is watching. These criminals will have to answer to higher authority. We will never give up until we find answers. Houston is a disaster.     

  

What we lost at the original Carrabba's Italian Grill at 3115 Kirby Drive while relocating

Thieves can take everything you store inside your car, including sensitive documents. Even worse, travelers should avoid high risk areas such as the Carrabba's Italian Grill located at 3115 Kirby Drive, Houston, Texas.

Stay out of Houston, Texas. There is nothing to see there and the car break-in crime rate is high. The original Carrabba's Italian Grill at 3115 Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas left a bad taste in our mouth for five states after getting robbed while their security is on their 3-hour break in the daylight hours.

Carrabba's Italian Grill management and corporate partners are unsympathetic after a first-time robbery that occurred at their location. According to security and management, there is the first time a robbery took place in their parking structure.

Since Carrabba's Italian Grill are too cheap to keep security at between 2-5pm, the end result is first-time customer who are relocating losing everything they own. All possessions were properly safeguarded. Carrabba's refused to accept an itemized list of the stolen personal belongings.

The Carrabba's Italian Grill general manager and their Town and Country insurance deemed our incident as part of the U.S. crime rate. According to them, people get robbed on every street corner in America. There is little compassion for a first-time encounter. You'd think they want to avoid another incident. However, the restaurant is brushing the robbery under their rug.

We got robbed at the Carrabba's Italian Grill in Houston, Texas in broad daylight, a time that security there has a downtime of 3-hours. They don't post this downtime to warn guests. The Carrabba's surveillance system is also useless because the restaurant seems to delay the viewing of the robbery in real-time. They don't seem interested in catching the thieves. Is there more to the story than meets the eye? Only God and the video surveillance system know the truth.

Don't count on Houston police to care about you. Houston is a terrible place to visit. Do not waste your time and risk your family's safety traveling to Houston. The police will harass you and falsely identify you as another person. Even worse, Houston police don't collect fingerprints. What if the video is comprised? Fingerprints can be used as evidence to locate these thieves.

How can a person be mistaken as another Houston when they you are from California? You have a valid California driver's license, but you are told to retrieve your registration and insurance to prove you own the vehicle. The police officer failed to do his homework. No professionalism at all.

Thanks to the thieves, you have no current registration and car insurance documents. The thieves had their own buffet in plain view of the Italian restaurant entrance.

On the phone two days later, the police admitted that Houston has a very high car break-in rate. Don't be too surprised to have your window broken at this original Carrabba's Italian Grill located at 3115 Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas. The restaurant could care less if you make it home safe. While driving through 5 states without a window, anything can happen to a couple. Imagine the danger. The original Carrabba's Italian Grill wants to avoid the incident at their location.

Why should Carrabba's Italian grill and their Tampa, Florida partners care? Customer safety should matter most. Whereas security is not mandatory, the restaurant is banking on their security to keep their patrons safe. Just know that your safety and your possessions are not safe.

Carrabba's is an overpriced Italian food chain. The original Carrabba's Italian Grill is the worst restaurant we dined in ever. There is nothing worse than Carrabba's Italian Grill. The food is mediocre and the location is unsafe. The only credit we give the Carrabba's staff that night is the manager that replenished the gift card, the buss boy who cleaned out the broken glass, and the bartender for giving us a free Pepsi and club soda.  Thank you to them for having some decency. Beyond these three events, we are frustrated with the poor treatment.

Just know that you can lose everything in a matter of minutes. Is it not worth losing everything to eat mediocre Italian food? The Carrabba's food leftovers found a new home in a Florida rest stop garbage. Maybe insects and bugs will feel the same way about this overpriced Italian food.

If you want to take a risk to eat Italian food in Houston, then avoid going to the restaurant between 2-5pm. However, we can't guarantee you that you will be safe with the security service and surveillance system since bad things can happen at night.

Next time, a future customer could get seriously hurt and or killed. The original Carrabba's Italian Grill refuses to cooperate. The Carrabba's management probably think they can sweep this robbery incident under the rug.

Tax documents, W2s, sensitive documents, graduate thesis, 6 years of pictures through all holidays and memorable moments (college graduation, travel, road trips, and many items are gone). Quote book with orginal quotes in black thick book too.  

Thanks a lot Carrabba's for our fresh new start. We made the worst mistake ever going to your location. We should have just passed through the low-class Houston city on our way to New Orleans. It doesn't matter how good you safeguard your personal belongings. Houston thieves are ready to steal your possessions.

Avoid Houston! We avoided this disastrous city in 2005. It's unfortunate that we lost everything we own in a matter of 45-50 minutes in Houston. The Carrabba's Italian Grill restaurant dropped the ball with their worthless security system. Their video surveillance is a waste of time. What good does this surveillance do when you delay the viewing?

The Houston police department lack professionalism. Their phone operators, representatives and police officers are unhelpful. They will give you an attitude toward the victims rather than locate the thieves. If you are travelers driving on I-10, avoid visiting Houston, Texas. Gas up two hours ahead of time to make it past Houston. Don't stop there at all.

Want good Italian food in Houston? Go to Olive Garden instead of wasting your money for food that is about $21+ per person at Carrabba's. Carrabba's will not ever give you a salad with your entree. The menu prices are off the charts.

Luckily, we sucked up the prices to avoid possibly getting injured and or killed in their parking structure. We wanted to leave a few times, even before reaching the restaurant entrance. The prices almost persuaded us to leave their terrible restaurant. In the end, we are glad we avoided violence in Houston.  

Your reward for paying $140 for a bottle of wine at Carrabba's Italian Grill may be a car break-in. Good luck if you decide to dine at this overpriced Italian restaurant with mediocre food. They will tell you that they spend thousands of dollars per week on top notch security and a video surveillance system. In the end, your car window will be broken and you might put yourself at risk of getting injured trying to stop the thieves.

Avoid Houston and the Carrabba's Italian Grill at 3115 Kirby Drive, Houston, Texas at all cost. Don't let the exclusive area fool you. The rich area and the Italian restaurant are devils in a suit. Dining in an unsafe place is not worth your safety. People will say that you must minimize your risk. If you safeguard your possessions, you will still get jacked. Thieves in the low-class Houston city will prey on you. Poor security and lack of compassion make Carrabba's Italian Grill a disastrous dining experience.
